An Erasmus+ project on gender equality
Gender equality in the job market
In a few months or a couple of years, our students will make choices for the future. The will go on to higher education or choose a profession. With the assignments on the job market we aim to broaden their view and raise awareness on the current situation for gender equality.
Assignments
Comparative Study
Students select 2 jobs that are more often done by women/men and compare them in terms of status, earning, working conditions, etc. based on research.
Interview
Students interview a male in a job that is mostly done by women and vice versa, focussing on their experiences, difficulties, (dis)advantages, ...
Experts
Experts on gender equality in the job market and gender based violence in the workspace were invited.
Presentation
The results of the comparative study and interviews are presented in a video. These videos, created by all groups, were the starting points for a debate on the topic, followed by the contribution of experts. The results of what the students have learned is also reflected in the final assignment where they created posters and an advertisement spot to tackle gender inequality and gender based violence in the workspace.
