ABOUT US
We are a team of 4 secondary schools, working together in an international cooperation within the Erasmus+ program. The project team was selected based upon a common need to educate youngsters and teachers on gender related issues in education and to explore ways to promote gender equality at school and in general. The main starting point was the fact that we feel that boys more often underachieve in secondary education, while man more often have leading positions in later life.
We come from Scotland, Belgium, Turkey and Italy. The project was realized through a tight cooperation between students and teachers.
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
We share the results of our research and some insights on gender equality in general. The main focus is on the challenges regarding the difference between boys and girls in secondary education, as well for engagement in school life as for academic performances.

Our purpose is to offer inspiration for other schools for secondary education on how to explore this subject in their own schools and how to increase the awareness on the topic for students, teachers and staff. We also offer tips and tricks to increase the interest and involvement of boys in secondary education. Lesson plans can be downloaded from this website.

We offer tips from students to students to improve their wellbeing at school, to avoid being affected by gender related issues at school, to prevent disengagement in learning and early dropout.

The information presented is the result of research by students and teachers, through surveys, interviews, observations and exploring literature on the topic.
